Exilio LGBTQ+ Latin Dance Club (at Bar & Co)

No ratings yet
Latin grooviness

A special mostly male club night started in 1996 at Latimer Rd by DJ Gloria (Gloria Lizcano) as a safe (and party) haven for gay, lesbian and bi-sexual Latinos who may or may not have left their native country for punitive reasons. Exilio happens twice a month, now at Bar & Co — a "party boat rocking the Thames", located very centrally at Victoria Embankment, just east of Waterloo Bridge near Somerset House. Venues since 2013 include The Latin Groove in Archway, Muse in Soho and Vinyl Bar in the City. Over the years the club has moved around, but the music has been constant: salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, Latin house, commercial sounds and more.
