BOMBSHELL! (at Ku Bar/Klub)

Outrageous Wednesday-only event for the transexual/drag/non-binary/gender-bending set and their friends and admirers, especially those "who enjoy dressing up and letting their hair down", with Lady Lloyd and Tasty Tim spinning pop, disco, neo-R&B and floor-filler classics. Hosted by Miss Honey Foxx, with cabaret kicking its heels from 1am. Club history nerd alert: BOMBSHELL! started in May 2014 at Tart in Farringdon, shifted to the Black Cap in April 2015, only to find its new venue close down a week later. From May 2015 the club descended to Soho's Shadow Lounge, which then closed in 2016. Then Muse Soho in the summer of 2017, then Camden Town's Them Downstairs from autumn 2017 until its closure in 2018. As of 2019 BOMBSHELL! is back in the centre of town, located in Ku Leicester Square's basement space Klub in the heart of Chinatown [see entry]. A Silver winner in Boyz magazine's Best Club or Club Night category, announced February 2019.
