Lady Olé (at Bethnal Green Working Men's Club)

Party venture of Spanish-born DJ Alejandro Asencio, who describes himself as "fierce and fabulous, cheap and cheerful, nice and nasty, trashy and t-total, hysterical and hallucinogenic, sassy and sexy". Asencio was the force behind the now-departed party Pelucas y Tacones, and his 2016 invention Lady Olé — "a party bridging Spanish and British queer club cultures through dance music, bizarro and kitsch aesthetics, and performance" — has shifted from Nightclub Kolis in Archway to one of Bethnal Green's more celebrated venues (with the occasional return to Kolis, 1 Archway Close, Archway N19 3TD).
