Klub Verboten

A strict and serious and modern-thinking enterprise catering to sexually adventurous followers of fetish and so-called-deviant activities, with a dress code embracing latex, rubber, PVC, leather, metal, nylon, drag, chains, studs and naked, "for all kinds of genders and preferences". The ethos is contemporary and inclusive. Previous remote east London venues have featured an equipped torture dungeon ("The Gym"), a rubber lounge, a darkroom and a dance floor (for trippy Berlin techno etc), but Verboten has had to move around. Apply for membership and receive location and party details. Verboten also schedules Tears for Beers ("more thrilling than a munch"), which meets in a Dalston bar every first Wednesday of the month 7pm–1am. With a nod to Berlin while well outside its shadow. Check website for messy schedule. Verboten became a members club in 2016.
