Rubber Slut (at Bunker)

One of the first new fetish enterprises to emerge following the demise of The Backstreet (in July 2022), Rubber Slut debuted at subterranean stalwart Bunker [see entry] on 30 September 2022, with 30-something shop guy Pete (of rubber purveyors Regulation [see entry]) staging a casual and audibly chatty but cruisy club night with a strict rubber dress code ("to keep the muggles out"), and with an eye on a younger, shinier crowd (while not wanting to alienate First Generation matt-rubber guys). Music = "funky electronica, ambient beats and deep background techno". Bunker policy: no watersports on the premises. Entry is card-only, but the bar takes both card and cash. Bunker's busy schedule will accommodate Rubber Slut on only the fifth Friday of the month. Next events: 30 June and 29 September 2023.
