Kaffeine

(1 Rating)
Damn good Down Under coffee in central London

Seriously fine coffee-and-food establishment started up in 2009 to high and exacting standards by Melbourne-born Peter Dore-Smith. Situated several minutes from several places — Soho, Oxford St, Marylebone, Regent's Park, Fitzroy Square — and designed with just the right amount of attention to minimalist detail, Kaffeine uses Square Mile coffee (possibly a worthy rival to Monmouth Coffee) and, unusually for a high-quality coffee bar, prepares its own food, including excellent morning goods (including savoury muffins) and inspired and inventive lunches. This is a London that certainly did not exist in the 90s. In March 2015 a second branch opened nearby at 15 Eastcastle Street W1T 3AY.
