Tao Tao Ju

No ratings yet
Dim sum that's more than the sum of its parts

A Chinatown find, located not on buzzy main drag Gerrard St but on its quieter parallel sibling, Lisle St, several doors down from popular corner gay bar Ku Bar [see entry]. In contrast to some of the bigger Chinatown establishments, Tao Tao Ju is quieter and more tasteful than glossy, with food and service to match. The restaurant is best known for its exemplary dim sum, which is "crafted daily on site and steamed fresh to order". Opened 2011. Recommended.
