Scott's

No ratings yet
Posh fish

A london institution, started in 1871 but which closed in the 1990s, only to be reinvented in 2006 as part of the same group behind Le Caprice, the Ivy and fellow fishmonger J Sheekey [see entries]. Few would argue with the impressive quality of oysters, caviars and seafood, and the prices and elegant decor reflect its position at the epicentre of abundantly wealthy Mayfair. There's a buzz about Scott's, and an air of specialness. This was a favourite restaurant of Nigella Lawson and Charles Saatchi, and where in June 2013 the couple were seen in an awkward pre-divorce moment just outside. Local landmarks include Mount St Gardens and art galleries Sadie Coles [see entry], Michael Werner and Timothy Taylor.
