The WayOut Club (at the White Swan)

"A glamourous nightclub for transgendered girls – CD-TV, pre- and post-TS, lady boys – and respectful friends and would-be friends", started in 1993 by Vicky Lee, author of transgender-interest books. The ethos is "where gender has no boundary", with Vicky welcoming "every age, race, background, sexuality and genderfor mixing, mingling, dancing, dining and unique entertainment". Over the years Vicky has conquered various parts of town, and in March 2014, true to form, the WayOut Club moved from Gilt (and Yager) to traditional East End pub the Minories. In the past some of the Saturday parties have been staged down the street at Mary Janes (124–127 Minories, London EC3N 1NT) instead. In late 2022 the WayOut Club landed at East End stawlwart the White Swan, staged at one of its three event spaces. Check website for events.
